Ana Maria Labin | Soprano

Born in Romania, Ana Maria Labin is still at the beginning of an exceptional career. She grew up in Switzerland and was the first to win the »Concours Ernst Häfliger«. After the International Opera Studio in Zurich, she was engaged at the Opera Montpellier, quickly followed by debuts at the Mannheimer Mozartwochen, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris as well as at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
Ana Maria Labin is able to present a highly diverse repertoire, ranging from opera parts of the Baroque period over romantic parts to works of contemporary componists. However, she has a special connection with popular opera music as her debut at Milan's La Scala shows, where she sung the part of Valencienne in Franz Lehár's »The Merry Widow«.
