Boris Berezovsky | Piano

Born in Moscow in 1969, Boris Berezovsky studied in the city’s conservatory under Eliso Virsaladze, while also taking private tuition from Alexander Satz. On the occasion of his debut at London’s Wigmore Hall in 1988, the Times described him as: »an artist of exceptional promise, a player of dazzling virtuosity and considerable power«. Only two years later the pianist confirmed this estimation by taking 1st prize at Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Competition. Since then Berezovsky has performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras, and has recorded an astonishingly diverse repertoire for CD. Many of these recordings have received international awards, including an ECHO Klassik Prize, the BBC Music Magazine Award and the Diapson d’Or.
