Janine Jansen | Violin

Janine Jansen is one of the leading violinists of her generation. Following her attention-grabbing debut with London’s Philharmonia Orchestra in 2002, invitations poured in to perform with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra as well as the orchestras of Chicago, Philadelphia and Cleveland. In the meantime she has collaborated with such great conductors as Valéry Gergiev, Mariss Jansons, Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Chailly, Neeme and Paavo Järvi, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Daniel Harding and Gustavo Dudamel. Janine Jansen has made many prize-winning recordings, including an interpretation of the violin concertos of Beethoven and Britten for which, in 2010, she was awarded the Edison Award as well as the German Record Critics’ Award.
