Jochen Ubbelohde | Horn

Jochen Ubbelohde, born in Karlsruhe in 1974, studied at Frankfurt am Main’s College of Music under Ursula Kepser and Marie Luise Neunecker. His first professional engagement came in 1998 as principal horn with the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra, before being appointed the following year to the same position with Frankfurt’s Opera and Museum Orchestra. Since August 2000 Jochen Ubbelohde has been principal horn to the Staatskapelle Dresden, with whom he has subsequently performed as a soloist on numerous occasions. In addition he served as principal horn to the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra.
