Sibylla Rubens | Soprano

Sibylla Rubens studied concert and opera singing at the music colleges of Trossingen and Frankfurt am Main. She attended Irwin Gage’s masterclass for lied performance, and rounded off her training under numerous other celebrated performers and tutors, such as Edith Mathis and Elsa Cavelti in Basel. In the meantime she is in great demand as an opera singer and recitalist, and has collaborated with such leading conductors as Kent Nagano, Sir Roger Norrington, Herbert Blomstedt, Philippe Herreweghe, Iván Fischer and Riccardo Chailly. Ms Rubens has previously sung on several occasions under the baton of Christian Thielemann.
