Annika Thiel studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. She has been a violinist with the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden since 2002. She has also been a member of the 1st violins of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra since 2004. Fener plays in the Thiel String Quartet.
