Eszter Lindner-Simon

Eszter Lindner-Simon was born in Budapest. At the age of 8, she received her first flute lessons from Ferenc Balogh at the music school in Veresegyház. She began her professional training at the renowned Zoltán Kodály Music High School in Kecskemét in Bea Berényi's class. After graduating from high school, she completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Pécs with Zsolt Romos.

In 2012, she moved to Germany to study with Prof. Dejan Gavric at the Mainz University of Music, where she completed her master's degree in 2014 and her concert exam with distinction in 2016. For this, she received the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz Prize in 2017.
She gained orchestral experience in the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the Mainz State Theater (Young Ensemble), the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, the Stuttgart State Orchestra, and the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, where she was an academy member from 2016 to 2018.

From 2018 to 2021, she was principal flutist with the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra in Konstanz. During this time, she was granted a sabbatical year for a temporary contract with the Staatskapelle Dresden as second flutist.

Since the 2021/22 season, she has been second flutist with the Staatskapelle Dresden.
