Michael Goldammer

Born in Erfurt, Michael Goldammer studied music in Weimar under Axel Schmidt and in Stuttgart under Ingo Goritzki.

His first engagement took him to the Israel Kibbutz Orchestra in 1997, followed by the Halle Philharmonic State Orchestra and the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra in Chemnitz.

In 2002, Michael Goldammer was appointed principal English hornist with the Dresden Philharmonic. Two years later, he moved to the Staatskapelle Dresden. In addition to his orchestral work, he performs with numerous ensembles, including the Mozart Sextet and the Frauenkirche Ensemble.
