Milan Líkař

Milan Líkař, born in 1982 in Sokolov (Czech Republic), received his first violin lessons at the age of seven at the Chodau primary school with Jaroslav Kubricht. Six years later, he switched to the viola.

In 2003, he began his studies at the Music Conservatory in Teplice under Vadim Skibin. In the same year, he was accepted into Vladimír Bukač's class at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. This was followed by postgraduate studies with Andreas Kuhlmann in 2008.

During his studies, he spent two years as a substitute at the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and from 2008 as an academy member of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden.

He has been a permanent member of the viola section of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden since 2010.
