The new Artist-in-Residence of the Staatskapelle Dresden will be Russian pianist Denis Matsuev who will open his new Dresden residency with a Piano Recital on the 8th October 2017 with works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Prokofiev. In addition, he will also play Piano Concertos by Franz Liszt and Dmitri Shostakovich in the Semperoper. Also on tour he will join the Staatskapelle, for example in his Russian homeland.
