In agreement with the Saxon State Theatres, the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism has decided to extend the suspension of performances up to and including Sunday, 9 January 2022. The measure will affect all venues of the Semperoper and the Staatsschauspiel Dresden.
With their decision, those responsible for the two institutions as well as the relevant governmental departments are reacting to the still alarming pandemic in Saxony while also taking account of the complex planning processes required for stage productions.
Tickets for the cancelled events will be refunded by the respective visitor service. For Semperoper events, it is recommended to fill out the dedicated ticket return form.
